Fredric G. Levin Scholars Minor

The Fredric G. Levin Scholars Program is an invitation-only leadership development and community engagement-focused program for which eligible incoming freshmen are invited to apply. Through hands-on experience facilitated across the program, students will deepen their capacity for strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and reflective practice. Emphasis is placed on the integration of leadership theory with community-based action, preparing students to lead with purpose, adaptability, and accountability in complex civic environments.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students accepted into the University of West Florida as freshmen are invited to apply for the program and scholarship.
  • Students must be Florida residents (in-state).
  • Applicants must have at least a 3.90 GPA in high school.
  • Applicants must have no more than 45 college credits completed upon enrollment.

Renewal Requirements

  • A 3.0 cumulative UWF GPA is required for renewal.
  • Renewable UWF scholarships require continuous, full-time enrollment of 12+ credit hours, excluding summer, at UWF with good academic standing.
  • All Fredric G. Levin Scholars Program awards are applicable for eight consecutive semesters (fall and spring only) or upon undergraduate degree completion, whichever comes first, so long as renewal requirements are maintained.

IDH 3940 Internship and ePortfolio is a 3 credit hour course, but must be repeated to attain the 6 credit hour requirement.
