The certificate in Health Informatics develops engaged healthcare professionals who use evidence-based strategies and applied skills to improve operations, quality of care, affordability and access. The certificate program provides hands-on instruction for future health informaticists. Certificate holders will be able to translate healthcare data that flows from the clinician-patient interaction at the bedside into reportable metrics and statistics using industry-standard data analysis and programming techniques.
A minimum grade of "C" is required for all courses and students must maintain an institutional GPA of 3.0 or higher.
