SUR 2102   Introduction to Geomatics

This course introduces the use of modern surveying instruments and methods commonly employed by Civil Engineers. Topics include distance measurement, angle measurement, traverse and topographic surveys, route surveying, construction surveying, land surveys, mapping, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and preparation and submittal of survey documents.

This course introduces the fundamentals of surveying. The topics include field measuring of angles, distances, elevations, horizontal and vertical location using total station and level.
