OCB 4201   Biology of Coral Reefs

Prerequisite: (BSC 2011/L OR BSC 2011C) AND (OCE 3007)

Overall, the aim of this course is to highlight the organization, structure, productivity, and biological diversity of the coral reef ecosystem. This course will address the taxonomy, biology, and ecology of the main groups (inhabitants & builders) on coral reefs. Special attention and focus will be given to environmental and anthropogenic disturbances. Offered concurrently with OCB 5203; graduate students will be assigned additional work.
