ATF: Aviation Technology: Flight

ATF 1100L   Private Pilot Flight Training

This course prepares the learner for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) private pilot practical test as described in the Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards (FAA-S-ACS-6B). All elements required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) are covered and the learner receives the required aeronautical experience and ground training in flight maneuvers, cross-country, and test preparation required by the regulations. Textual materials for this course include the private pilot ACS, the FAR/AIM Handbook, and an appropriate Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircraft being used for flight instruction. All FAR required training will be accomplished in an FAA Part 141 flight school. A minimum of 35 hours of flight training must be logged and the learner must successfully pass the FAA practical test before proceeding to the next flight course.

ATF 2204L   Commercial Flight I

This course begins preparation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) commercial pilot practical test as described in the Commercial Pilot Airman Certification Standards (ACS). All elements required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) are covered and the learner receives the required aeronautical experience and ground training in flight maneuvers, cross-country, and test preparation required by the regulations. Textual materials for this course include the private pilot ACS, the FAR/AIM Handbook, and an appropriate Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircraft being used for flight instruction. All FAR required training will be accomplished in an FAA Part 141 flight school. Requires a Private Pilot Certificate and Instrument Rating to enroll. A minimum of 60 hours of flight training must be logged.

ATF 2205L   Commercial Flight II

This course completes preparation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) commercial pilot practical test as described in the Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards (ACS). All elements required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) are covered and the learner receives the required aeronautical experience and ground training in flight maneuvers, cross-country, and test preparation required by the regulations. Textual materials for this course include the private pilot ACS, the FAR/AIM Handbook, and an appropriate Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircraft being used for flight instruction. All FAR required training will be accomplished in an FAA Part 141 flight school. A minimum of 60 hours of flight training must be logged and the learner must successfully pass the FAA practical test before proceeding to the next flight course.

ATF 2306L   Instrument Flight I

This course begins preparation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) instrument pilot practical test as described in the Instrument Pilot Airman Certification Standards (ACS). All elements required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR 141, Appendix C Instrument Rating Requirements) are covered and the learner receives the required aeronautical experience and ground training in basic attitude instrument flight maneuvers required by the regulations. Also provides instrument flight instruction in flight training devices. Textual materials for this course include the instrument pilot ACS, the FAR/AIM Handbook, and an appropriate Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircraft being used for flight instruction, the Instrument Flying Handbook, and the Instrument Procedures Handbook. All FAR required training will be accomplished in an FAA Part 141 flight school. The learner is required to possess a private pilot certificate to enroll. A minimum of 15 hours of flight training must be logged and the learner must successfully pass a Stage Check before proceeding to the next flight course.

ATF 2307L   Instrument Flight II

This course completes preparation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) instrument pilot practical test as described in the Instrument Pilot Airman Certification Standards (ACS). All elements required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) are covered and the learner receives additional aeronautical experience and ground training in instrument cross-country procedures and test preparation required by the regulations. Additionally, the student will receive training in safety awareness, crew resource management, and aeronautical decision-making. The course includes instrument flight instruction in aircraft and flight training devices to prepare the student for the FAA instrument rating practical test. Textual materials for this course include the instrument pilot ACS, the FAR/AIM Handbook, the Instrument Flying Handbook, and the Instrument Procedures Handbook. and an appropriate Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircraft being used for flight instruction. Enrollment requires successful completion of ATF 2306L, Instrument Flight I. All FAR required training will be accomplished in an FAA Part 141 flight school. A minimum of 20 hours of flight training must be logged and the learner must successfully pass the FAA practical test before proceeding to the next flight course.

ATF 2400L   Multiengine Flight

This course prepares the learner for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) multiengine pilot rating practical test as described in the Airman Certification Standards (ACS) for the particular certificate held. All elements required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR Part 141)) are covered and the learner receives the required aeronautical experience and ground training in multiengine flight maneuvers, aircraft systems and performance, multiengine aerodynamics, cross-country navigation, aircraft loading, and test preparation required by the regulations. Textual materials for this course include the private or commercial pilot ACS, the FAR/AIM Handbook, and an appropriate Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircraft being used for flight instruction. All FAR required training will be accomplished in an FR Part 141 flight school. The student must have the FAA private or commercial pilot certificate with the instrument rating to take this course. A minimum of 20 hours of flight training must be logged.

ATF 3502L   Certified Flight Instructor: Flight

This course prepares the learner for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified flight instructor pilot practical test as described in the Flight Instructor Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards (ACS). All elements required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR 141) are covered and the learner receives the required aeronautical experience and ground training in flight maneuvers, cross-country, and test preparation required by the regulations. Textual materials for this course include the private pilot ACS, the FAR/AIM Handbook, the Aviation Instructor’s Handbook, and an appropriate Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircraft being used for flight instruction. All FAR required training will be accomplished in an FAA Part 141 flight school. The student must have the FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate to enroll. A minimum of 25 hours of flight training must be logged.

ATF 3511L   Multiengine Flight Instructor

This course prepares the learner for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) multiengine flight instructor practical test as described in the Airman Certification Standards (ACS). All elements required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR 141) are covered and the learner receives the required aeronautical experience and ground training in flight maneuvers, aircraft systems, emergency procedures and test preparation required by the regulations. Textual materials for this course include the private pilot ACS, the FAR/AIM Handbook, the Aviation Instructor’s Handbook, and an appropriate Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircraft being used for flight instruction. All FAR required training will be accomplished in an FAA Part 141 flight school. The student must have a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a multi engine rating and a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate. A minimum of 15 hours of flight training must be logged.

ATF 3531L   Instrument Flight Instructor: Flight

This course prepares the learner for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) instrument flight instructor practical test as described in the Airman Certification Standards (ACS). All elements required by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR 141 Appendix G) are covered and the learner receives the required aeronautical experience and ground training in basic attitude instrument flight, cross-country flight including departure, enroute and arrival procedures, and test preparation required by the regulations. Textual materials for this course include the instrument pilot ACS, the FAR/AIM Handbook, the Aviation Instructor’s Handbook, Instrument Procedures Handbook, Instrument Flying Handbook, and an appropriate Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for the aircraft being used for flight instruction. All FAR required training will be accomplished in an FAA Part 141 flight school. The student must have the FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate and a Flight Instructor Certificate to enroll. A minimum of 15 hours of flight training must be logged.
